Malawi is a magical place. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, the escarpment of the Great African Rift Valley gives way to the great lakes, home to a  vast number of animal and plant species, many of which are not even known to science and remain yet to be described.

It is in this environment that Moment Chaweza grew up and developed his passion for art - drawing inspiration from his environment.   Passionate about art from a very young age, he first joined the Art Club in primary school in the 1970's and won Best Art student in secondary school. In 2014 he was commissioned to paint 3 artworks for the National Aids Commission in Malawi, a UNESCO initiative.
